The lakes motel is a good base to travel to Mt Cook and Lake Tekapo, etc. motel is very clean. Housekeeping did a great job. Pots and pans look new. Cutleries are cleaned. There are food trucks just next to the motel. Parking is free. Will recommend.

   Highly recommended! It's much better than the hotel we stayed at in Christchurch. The four bedrooms are enough for seven or eight people. The rooms are very clean, parking is convenient, and all the daily necessities are provided. You can find anything you can imagine, from seasonings to pots, pans, and utensils.
